V nice drawing! i have a friend who drew something slightly similar to this although in a very different style using pens. He put a bridge experiencing FOV as it goes off into the distance into his composition and at the other end of it is another tree, maybe you could try that to fill the blank space on the right?

lots of detail and different structures, wood, roots etc

the white part feels empty

Overall I would try to get a bit more variety in the pencil so smooth some things while leave the lines visible for others and work a little on contract/values. The design is fine and the style so just keep working

[ - ] dislike the grass island because of the form of it

The top of the picture is well composed ...maybe you started with the tree and your ambition diminished till the end ?!
